A word from the founder
Welcome, and thank you for visiting Shokran.nl. I would like to tell you how it all began and what we stand for.
How it all began
In 2017, I was looking for the perfect gift and noticed how limited the choices were. Everywhere you looked, there were the same standard products. Gifts that the recipient would probably be happy with, but without that special ‘wow’ factor. That didn’t feel right: giving something that anyone can find anywhere. That is how the idea for Shokran.nl was born. Giving a gift should be a pleasant experience, for both the giver and the recipient.
As a born-and-bred Rotterdamer, I went to the Chamber of Commerce in June 2017 to register the company. Alhamdulillah, the first step had been taken. I built the webshop entirely according to my own vision and style, and the first products were gift packages in various themes.
Books as gifts
I am a true book lover myself, so in addition to gift packages, I also started offering Islamic books. A book is suitable for any occasion, and the giver also receives a reward when the recipient reads it. You will also find bookmarks, book stands and other items that pair well with them, as well as a wide selection of snacks from well-known brands and our own confectionery range. Not sure which book to choose? Check out our Islamic Book Guide.
Our own products
We now have more than 100 products of our own design: mugs, sweets, tote bags, bookmarks, books, gift boxes, greeting cards, keychains, car air fresheners and more. Everything is designed with originality in mind, which is why our slogan is “The Original Giftshop”. Since 14 August 2021, Shokran.nl® has been a registered trademark, so our webshop and products are protected against copies.
Create your own gift
You can also create your own gift box or gift bag with us, with a choice of more than 800 products. Choose an occasion and you decide what goes inside, so every gift tells its own personal story.
With passion
Everything to do with Shokran.nl brings me great pleasure: the webshop, the designs, the products and the service we provide to our customers. I am grateful for where we are now, alhamdulillah, and I have many more plans, in sha Allah.
